There are three CREATIVE TEAMS for OILCAN, writing, music, plus, later in 2025, choreography and dance. Teams will be be selected and launched late Summer/early Autumn 2025.

THE WRITING TEAM & MUSIC TEAMS

Almost all CREATIVE TEAM members will be drawn from FEEDER WORKSHOPS attendees who apply.

Application packs will be released once all FEEDER WORKSHOPS across Scotland complete. When application packs are ready for download, this will be announced for those on the mailing list, which you can join here. Otherwise, please check this website page.

PAYMENT and RIGHTS

To date OILCAN has been funded by both private investors and by Area Partnership funds of Glasgow City Council. Payment for CREATIVE TEAMS members will be at industry rates. Specialist legal advisors at Harper Macleod have agreed to define creators' rights and any licensing. Everything is subject to change as investors and funders commit. All those working on the CREATIVE TEAMS will be required to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA).

PUBLICATIONS & PUBLICITY

OILCAN is designed to be scaleable and adaptable to multifarious communities. A "roadmap" for others is being developed concurrently with this Scottish version.

A written record of the creative processes of OILCAN will be published in the MAKING PIES series (ISSN 2976-9868). Photo permissions will be sought from creatives where necessary. A documentary film is planned with Pinescope Productions to record the process in such a way that others can adapt OILCAN for use in their own communities. CREATIVE TEAM members are expected to cooperate with Publications and Publicity.

EDITORIAL CONTROL

This remains with Anne Sikking, who devised the original concept, and with Scott Kames as co-creator. Any pieces and material submitted may be adapted, revised and incorporated by them to fit the evolving nature of the production.

To get involved with any of the OILCAN CREATIVE TEAMS, please express interest by emailing lead producer Scott Kames here.
